*All
opinions are my own. I was given Spandits! products as part of a
contest, as well as part of a review and giveaway agreement.*
Earlier in the summer, I entered a Twitter competition to name a new fabric pattern for Spandits! - the "seriously fun, but never too bold" active apparel line out of Maine. Spandits liked the name I suggested, which means I won some gear in that pattern to test, review and giveaway! Here I am sporting "Aurora Borealis" in all of its colorful glory! So flashy!
Spandits Arm Sleeves ($25) and Headband ($8) |
Both stayed in place while test running them! Important! |
Spandits has several patterns available if Aurora Borealis isn't your style. You can apply the patterns to headbands, sleeves, skull caps, tights, etc. If you want to accessorize in any way - they probably have an option for you. My favorite is the arm sleeves. I have always raced in sleeves for functional reasons, but I do think other runners see you in them are like, "Ohhh, she must be serious!" Sleeves make it easy for spectators to find you in races too - because they stand out so much, especially when they are in a "seriously fun, but never too bold" pattern!
In other exciting Spandits news, they are looking to start an Ambassador program! If you're a Spandits super-fan, you can find more info about participating in the program here. How fun - a discount while representing a great brand!
Thanks to Spandits! and everyone that entered! Our winner is:

I love to accessorize! It makes everything more fun. Usually only accesorize with headband and birght colors!!
ReplyDeleteI don't accessorize that much, but I haven't put much thought into finding FUN accessories either. If I had them, I would wear them. These are really cute.
ReplyDeleteThe brighter the better. It's all about having fun!
ReplyDeleteI usually accessorize with a shoe charm, my Garmin, my wrist pepper spray, headband or visor and whatever form of hydration I am using that day!
ReplyDeleteKristen E - don't know why anonymous is listed.
DeleteI haven't really accessorized in the past, but have just been getting into it. I am in love with the Zuza socks you just posted about... they have changed my mind about getting all cutsy with my running... In fact, I was just shopping for arm warmers... I think this could be the pick!
DeleteMy "accessorizing" usually comes in the form of brightly color tank tops. I've been looking to branch out a bit, though. These look really fun!
ReplyDeleteI usually accessorize more with my shoes and socks. I've been looking into getting sleeves, but haven't been able to afford it yet.
ReplyDeleteA girl can never have too many accessories, on or off the pavement :) Love it!
ReplyDeleteI try to wear something fun on every run. I'm a little heavier than I'd like to be at the moment, so wearing a fun skirt or a fun shirt makes me feel a little more like a rockstar.
ReplyDeleteI usually accesorize with my headbands. I have all kinds and can't have too many!
ReplyDeleteI usually accessorize with headbands and compression socks. I've been thinking about arm sleeves, but haven't purchased any yet! I do always think they look badass!
ReplyDeleteI usually accessorize with fun and bright headbands - I have yet to purchase arm sleeves, but am thinking about it for my 1/2 this Fall! Sounds fun!
ReplyDeleteAck, lost my other post. If I post twice, that's why! I have some fun socks, and like to wear a colorful visor or hat. I tend to wear a lot of black running clothes, so colorful accessories are awesome.
ReplyDeleteOh I love the gear and the name! I don't usually accessorize...headbands don't usually stay in and well, I guess I'm just not that stylish! But maybe if I will this giveaway I will be.... :)
ReplyDeleteI ALWAYS accessorize with my purple paisley no-slip headband I got from Potomac River Running Store - the velvet helps it not slip when my hair gets sweaty. I'm getting bored with it though and want some new colors to match my outfits. I also always wear my orange RoadID, and I find I run best when I wear a particular orange seamless sports bra under a tech tank and, believe it or not, long yoga pants instead of capris for some reason. Weirdly, squeezing a piece of cloth in my hand helps? When I've had a headband that has slipped off, I clutch and squeeze it in my hand as I'm running and it's almost like a security blanket effect? It's weird. It also serves as a mini towel :P
ReplyDeleteI usually wear my road ID and a headband (plastic with teeth or the kind that has the velvet on the back- otherwise they don't stay on my head).
ReplyDeleteI don't usually accessorize because I'm lazy. I wear my pink Road ID, but that's about it.
ReplyDeleteI usually accessorize with a headband or compression socks. Sadly I don't match very well so I'd love to win these!
ReplyDeleteI could very much use a headbands and sleeves! thanks!
ReplyDeleteI usually accessorize with headbands and compression socks! Love the accessories :)
ReplyDeleteKaren @karenlovestorun
Accessorize? What's that? No, I usually wear a headband to keep my bangs out of my eyes, and my Road id, but that's usually it in the summer.
ReplyDeleteI accessorize with socks and hats
ReplyDeleteI usually accessorize with a headband - so many fly aways! And I have the same problem with my headbands falling off. I swear my head is just the wrong shape for headbands because I always end up having to pin them in. It's great to hear that the Spandits headbands stay in! Definitely going to check those out.
ReplyDeleteThese might come in handy with the midwest fall/winter temps! The ones you have on are really fun...although digging the starry night and midnight blossom!
ReplyDeleteIf I do accessorize it's my garmin and ipod and road id! These are super cute though! :)
ReplyDeleteProbably just running gear.. and lately headbands.. I am a boring accessorizer!
ReplyDeleteI would feel so badass running in these!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree that how you dress affects how you feel which affects how you run<3
My shoes are my only accessory! But I WANT THIS SPANDITS GEAR!
ReplyDeleteI'm so boring. My accessories are generally a Headsweats visor and Zensah compression sleeves. Spandits! would help me out!
ReplyDeleteI love my compression sleeves & Spibelt.
